Congrats also to the All Blacks for retaining the Bledisloe Cup by beating (just) the Wallabies 35/29 to clinch the series 2/0 ..

NZ also beat Aus 6/4 to win the World Softball Champs for the 7th time in Canada recently ..

NZ also won 4 medals at the recent Canoe Sprint World Champs with Lisa Carrington winning Gold in the K1/200 and K2/500 , Silver in the K1/500 and a Bronze K4/500 .. fantastic display by this super Kiwi ..

Kiwi Ellesse Andrews won Gold in World Record time to win the Individual Pursuit at the recent Junior World Track Champs ..

Condolences must go to Surf Lifesaving community after the recent death of Dean Mercer .. 2 x AUS Ironman Champ multiple winner of the Coolangatta Gold and along with the likes of Sir Don Bradman and Dawn Fraser was inducted into the NSW Hall of Champions .. on behalf of our group I offer our condolences to his wife Reen their 4 boys and the Mercer family ..

On the other side of the ditch NZ plays those superpowers of World Soccer the Solomon Islands this weekend in their endeavour (like Oz) to reach the World Cup to be held in Putinland next year , good luck guys ..

On a really positive note congrats go to Sir Michael Jones .. he won 55 All Black caps and also coached Samoa .. after his career finished he established the Village Community & Youth Trust and the Village Sports Academy .. to improve young Pacific Islander and Maori youth .. he was also inducted into the Rugby Hall of Fame ..

A special congrats go to that breath of fresh air Daria Gavrilova for winning her 1st WTA Tennis Title – the 2017 Connecticut Open ..

Oh yes the Silver Ferns lost to England the other night in the Quad Series (other teams are SA / AUS)

And good luck goes to the current world no 1 in kiwi lass Natalie Rooney when she contests the World Trapshooting Champs .. no kiwi man/woman ever won a medal – until now!!!
